‘Protea Flower’ PDF Embroidery Pattern

For national embroidery month (February in the US) I decided to add some Australian flair and challenged myself to embroider 28 Australian natives in 28 days. Now funnily enough I learnt in the process of sewing this design up that this style of Protea is actually not an Australian native! But actually comes from South Africa. I think we just claim it as our own like we do with New Zealand’s Russell Crowe. Oh well!
